May 2024

Hear students share the lasting differences their teachers have made in their lives.

How have you seen God at work at Doulos over this past year?

I've seen God at work through our middle school and high school science classes. They have beautifully blended the question of how science and God can co-exist. Our students have so many questions regarding this topic. God has worked through our crew, who has provided the truth of Christ in conjunction with the scientific truths of His creation.

Teacher and Learning Coordinator

Through athletics, we’ve seen God mature our students and help them see practical ways to put their faith into action.

Lane and Acary Hadley
Athletics Director and Coach

I have seen God work in developing the students' social maturity and responsibility. He has also worked in my life, teaching me new strategies and giving grace to my students.

Middle School Spanish

Something I love about working in high school is that the kids are pretty genuine with what they believe, or what they don't believe. I have loved is being able to answer hard questions for them as they process through what they believe and also to help them talk through how to apply their beliefs to their lives.

High School Science

We've seen God working to heal the hearts of our students, equip parents, and strengthen our students' internal worlds so that they can continue to grow into their full potential.

Doulos Counseling Team

As a new member to the team, I've seen God through the wonderful community He has created here. I isee this through the worship nights, bible studies, and how people are very intentional to check-in and see how you're doing.

May's Highlights

Spirit Week

We enjoyed a week of dress-up days and silly games to help keep spirits high as we pressed into the end of the school year.

Expedition Nights

Throughout each semester, our students become experts in specific, relevant topics. Expedition Night is an interactive experience where the students share their expertise with the broader community.

MESLO Presentations

Our middle schoolers give 10-minute presentations to help them process ways they are growing as people.

Jazz Night

After a year of hard work and growth, the Doulos Jazz Group presented a one-hour concert. It was an inspiring cultural experience for all of us!

Please join us in praying for...

Staffing for Next School Year - As God is bringing together the team for next year, some roles have been filled and others have opened up. Please continue to pray that God calls and guides the people He'd like to come and do His work here. You can look at our web page to pray specifically over the open positions!! Thank you so much for your continued prayers for God to call His staff for next year.

Summer Break - Pray that it can be a rejuvenating time for our staff and a positive time for our students. Please pray that the Lord protects and guides our students who navigate difficult home situations.

Executive Director - In May, we had two potential candidates come on campus and get to know the staff. Please pray for wisdom for the hiring committee to see God's next steps for this important role.
